24 Hours Script to Screen: What started as a compelling idea one morning developed into a full fledge script by noon, secured equipment and location by 5, rolling camera at 7, and wrapped the next morning at sunrise.
After a semester of rigorous filmmaking, me and my three friends/close collaborators felt we just hadn't had enough. With a day left before we all went our separate ways, I pitched this idea.
Inspired by the concept of relishing in the reaction instead of the action, I outlined a short story that dealt with the chilling aftermath of a heist gone gone terribly wrong. Despite the film mostly taking place in one location with two characters, the project was still ambitious with little time to develop.
Nevertheless, grounded in an emotional narrative that we believed in, the team had faith that we could step up to do the creative justice.
This short film primarily shot over one take stands as a testament that when trust is fully invested in the team and the vision, the work can transcend the limits.
